Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER NAS division is seeking an Application Engineer in Austin, Grapevine, Houston, or San Antonio, TX. The role is a consultative, technical sales position supporting electrical consultants and in-house staff with critical power infrastructure, including data centers and large commercial or government facilities.

You will combine technical expertise in power distribution, power quality, and control with strong communication to design, specify, and present Eaton solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum seven (7) years of electrical sales/marketing and/or engineering experience.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.
• No sponsorship for immigration; US work authorization required.
• No relocation benefit; candidates within 50 miles of Austin, Grapevine, Houston, or San Antonio preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical engineers at consulting firms serving the Gulf Region, aiding technical design and positioning Eaton products.
• Act as the primary technical contact for in-house engineering staff and design teams at assigned customer accounts.
• Serve as a technical expert within the Gulf Region Mission Critical team, supporting Sales Engineers and account managers.
• Assist on large bids with submittals, drawings, and technical interpretation; interface with consultants and owners.
• Facilitate technical collaboration between customers and Eaton product lines; provide design recommendations.
• Conduct product seminars and training on Eaton products and solutions for consultants and key end users.
• Mentor Gulf Region Sales Engineers and other NAS staff.
