Job summary

Eaton’s North American Sales division is seeking an Application Engineer to join its team in Pleasanton, CA or Roseville, CA. You will lead the design, development and validation of Eaton products and service applications, while serving as a technical leader and mentor to sales engineers and consultants.

You’ll drive acceptability of Eaton products in the marketplace, provide pre‑sale technical support, and lead project submittals and design reviews. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of electrical sales and/or electrical engineering experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• No relocation assistance; reside within 75 miles of Pleasanton, CA or Roseville, CA.
• Eaton does not sponsor immigration status for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and validation of Eaton products and service applications.
• Provide pre‑sale application and technical support by analyzing customer needs and recommending solutions.
• Mentor sales engineers and consultants; train Technical Support Engineers.
• Call on electrical engineers and support major projects across the region.
• Conduct product seminars and training for end users, consultants and sales engineers.
