Job summary

SCHUNK is seeking an Application Engineer in Morrisville, NC. You will manage the complete quotation and order lifecycle for custom components, review specs, and collaborate with Design Engineering to develop solutions.

You will coordinate prototype development, provide customer guidance, and support sales teams through webinars, onsite visits, and training. Role requires a technical degree, strong project management, CAD/CAM experience, and the ability to interpret complex drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field; equivalent combo of education and hands-on experience.
• Strong project management and organizational skills in fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD/CAM software; 3D models and STEP files.
• Ability to learn internal ERP/CRM systems quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to explain technical concepts.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer quotation and order lifecycle for custom components.
• Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals, and sales orders in a timely, accurate manner.
• Review specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop technical solutions.
• Interpret drawings and documentation to ensure customer needs are clear.
• Collaborate with customers and SCHUNK Design Engineering for specs and drawings.
• Coordinate prototype development, testing, and application support.
• Track quotations, opportunities, and orders to support growth and satisfaction.
• Manage project timelines across design, production, and delivery.
