Job summary

Schmalz is seeking an Applications Engineer in Raleigh, NC to bridge engineering, project management, and customer engagement. This role drives high-quality, customer-focused solutions and maintains strong customer relationships through the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate with sales to configure product solutions, perform PoC testing, train customers, and travel as needed to support installations and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering or related robotics field.
• Experience working with and programming industrial robots.
• 3+ years in applications engineering or industrial manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with sales to define product configuration for quotes and orders.
• Maintain expertise on the product portfolio to support diverse applications.
• Conduct proof-of-concept testing with appropriate configurations.
• Provide hands-on training and technical guidance to customers.
• Provide feedback to Product Management on market and product needs.
• Travel to customer sites for demonstrations, installations, or support.
• Document engagements and activities in CRM.
