Qualifications

• Experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software and SolidWorks preferred.
• Data entry and database management experience with cloud-based systems.
• Strong MS Office skills and ability to quickly learn new cloud software.

Responsibilities

• Support Design Engineers with mechanical drafting work.
• Prepare and maintain manuals, fabrication files, assembly files and specs.
• Handle small design tasks for other departments.
• Enter data into cloud-based software to keep product and project records accurate.
• Learn Schmalz product ranges to support projects and customer needs.
• Collaborate with product managers on standardization and development.
• Test prototypes for performance and functionality.
• Perform cost analyses and work on cost reductions with the design team.
• Maintain organized records of specifications and performance results.
• Create pneumatic diagrams for custom designs.
• Manage third party vendor products and services database for teams.
• Support team members across Vacuum Automation and Handling Systems divisions.
• Assist Assembly Team with design changes during build.
• Other duties related to CAD, documentation, and light assembly.
