Position: Application Engineer

Allied Resources Technical Consultants is seeking an Application Engineer to provide technical support for industrial automation products, including sensors and controls. This role serves as a technical resource for customers by troubleshooting applications, recommending product solutions, and partnering with internal teams to ensure successful implementation. The ideal candidate has experience supporting industrial equipment, strong customer communication skills, and a passion for solving technical challenges.

Key Highlights:

• Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, Microsoft Teams, and webchat.
• Recommend sensor and controls solutions based on customer application requirements.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve product or system challenges.
• Develop technical support content and documentation for online customer resources.
• Assist with customer service activities including quotes, order entry, stock checks, and invoicing when needed.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve customer support processes and the overall customer experience.
• Gain expertise in advanced industrial automation products and complex product lines.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in a technical field required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
• Experience working with industrial sensors, controls, automation systems, or manufacturing equipment required.
• Machine maintenance or industrial equipment repair experience is a plus.
• 3+ years of technical support, application engineering, or related industrial experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and industrial automation products.
