Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an Application Delivery Technical Lead to guide software engineers, design solutions, and ensure alignment with IT standards. 50/50 mix of design/mentorship and hands-on code delivery, across enterprise applications and integrations.

Ideal candidates will have a Computer Science degree and 5 years of development experience, with strong Java, SQL, RPG and Angular skills, plus API design expertise. OD offers a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience with database technologies and SQL.
• 5 years of SDLC-based project work and leadership.
• 3 years of systems analysis and technical requirements.
• Experience with RPG, Java, SQL, Angular and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on business requirements and design of software solutions.
• Lead development and delivery of complex enterprise software.
• Mentor teams and communicate with leadership on options, risks and costs.
• Ensure design and coding adhere to architecture standards and policies.
• Facilitate production deployment and post-implementation support.
