Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an Application Delivery Technical Lead in Texas to guide software engineers and drive enterprise solutions from design through delivery. You will mentor teams, shape architecture, and deliver code modules while aligning with IT standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience in database technologies.
• 5 years of experience on SDLC projects.
• 3 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and high level design.
• Experience with RPG, Java, SQL, Angular, APIs design and implementation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides consultation on business requirements and functional specifications in logical program designs, code modules, and software solutions.
• Reviews the development or modification of highly complex, enterprise level software solutions.
• 50/50 role with design/mentorship and hands-on delivery of code.
• Develops and validates highly complex software design prototypes, ensuring adherence to architecture standards.
• Contributes to the technical direction for development and integration of enterprise solutions.
• Ensures detailed requirements, design and test scripts are documented for enhancements.
• Responsible for code management and production deployment in line with IT policies.
• Serves as a technical lead for project teams throughout implementation and maintenance of software solutions.
• Mentors and advises others on company methodologies, policies, and controls.
• Provides input on options, risks, costs and benefits for software designs.
