Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an Application Delivery Technical Lead to guide software engineers, align projects with IT standards, and deliver robust enterprise solutions. This role blends architecture, mentoring, and hands-on coding across complex systems.

You will work with architects, developers, and business users to translate requirements into actionable designs, ensuring quality and performance while adhering to company policies. The OD family emphasizes growth and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience in database technologies.
• 3 years of experience in SDLC-based projects.
• Experience with RPG, Java, SQL, Angular, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on business requirements and functional specifications; translate to design and code.
• Review development or modification of enterprise software solutions.
• Balance design/mentorship with hands-on code delivery (50/50).
• Develop and validate complex software designs ensuring adherence to standards.
• Contribute to technical direction for integration of enterprise solutions.
