Old Dominion Freight Line is hiring a full-time Application Delivery Technical Lead to guide software engineers and deliver enterprise solutions. The role blends design leadership with hands-on coding across RPG, Java, SQL, Angular and APIs, ensuring alignment with IT standards and business processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• 5 years of software development experience is required.
• 3 years of database technologies experience is required.
• 5 years in SDLC projects is preferred.
• 3 years of systems analysis experience is required.
• Experience with RPG, Java, SQL, Angular, APIs design and implementation is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides consultation on business requirements and functional specifications.
• Reviews the development or modification of highly complex software solutions.
• Balance design/mentorship with hands-on coding responsibilities (50/50).
• Develops and validates complex software designs adhering to architecture standards.
• Lead technical direction for development and integration of enterprise solutions.
• Ensure requirements, design, and test scripts are documented for enhancements.
• Manage code and production deployment in line with IT policies.
• Mentor and advise team members on methodologies and controls.
• Provide input on options, costs, risks, and benefits for designs.
