Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an Appian Business Analyst to partner with product teams and customers to gather Appian-specific requirements. You will drive discovery workshops, write user stories with acceptance criteria, and collaborate to shape the product roadmap while supporting MVП definitions and data modeling.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in business analysis, strong communication, and experience with Agile artifacts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, IT or related field.
5+ years of experience in performing business analysis and refining requirements for information systems.
Strong communication at all levels of an organization (written and verbal).
Detail oriented with experience working on several products at one time.
Experience with use cases, Agile user stories, and process modeling.
This position is remote with ability to work east coast hours as needed.
Must be able to obtain and maintain required federal government security clearance if needed. US citizenship required for clearance purposes.

Responsibilities

Support Product Dev Managers in defining the MVP for a given application/product and the release plans.
Conduct requirement discovery, data modeling, process improvement/reengineering analysis, process design, and models BPM applications, UI design, and data interface discovery.
Conduct discovery workshops with customer stakeholders to collect and document solution requirements.
Collaborate with Product Dev Managers and technology stakeholders to define new or enhanced product requirements and functionality.
Collaborate with Product Dev Managers to support prioritization of feature enablers within the product roadmap.
Deliver and maintain user engagement analytics to characterize users and support case studies.
Author user stories with detailed acceptance criteria for developers and QA.
Work with teams to provide answers, feedback and direction on work items and user stories.
Consult Product Dev Managers for guidance on product vision, roadmap, and requirements.
Define sprint plans based on the product vision and roadmap.
Refine product requirements from user engagements, sprint demos.
Prepare estimates for user stories within the backlog.
Conduct formal review and acceptance of user stories implemented by a team.
Identify, track, and manage risks; escalate when necessary.
Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.
Design and implement complex data models based on customer requirements.
Use tools such as TFS, Jira and Github for project management responsibilities.
