Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an Appian Business Analyst to partner with product teams and customers to generate requirements for Appian applications. You will help define MVPs, write user stories with acceptance criteria, and collaborate across product, architecture, and QA to deliver value.

Responsibilities include discovery workshops, data modeling, and prioritization aligned with the product roadmap. This is a remote role with East Coast hours; US citizenship and clearance eligibility may be

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in performing business analysis and refining requirements for information systems.
• Strong communication at all levels of an organization (written and verbal).
• Detail oriented with experience working on several products at one time.
• Experience with use cases, Agile user stories, and process modeling.
• This position is remote with ability to work east coast hours as needed.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required federal government security clearance; US citizenship required for clearance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Appian product teams and engage customers to generate requirements for Appian applications.
• Define MVPs and supporting release plans in collaboration with Product Dev Managers.
• Conduct requirement discovery, data modeling, process improvement/reengineering, and UI design for BPM applications.
• Document solution requirements through user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with architects and QA to ensure alignment with product roadmap and sprint plans.
• Refine product requirements based on stakeholder input and sprint demos.
• Prepare estimates for user stories within the backlog and assist in sprint planning.
• Identify risks and opportunities for process improvement and data modeling.
