Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an Appian Business Analyst to join our team and partner with Appian product groups to gather customer requirements for Appian applications. You’ll define MVPs, assist with release planning, conduct discovery workshops, and collaborate with product managers and engineers to turn needs into actionable stories and data models, always aligning with the product vision.

This role is remote with East Coast hours, requiring US citizenship for potential federal clearance and access

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of business analysis experience refining requirements for information systems.
• Strong communication at all levels of an organization.
• Detail oriented with experience managing several products at once.
• Experience with use cases, Agile user stories, and process modeling.
• Remote work with ability to work East Coast hours.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance if needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Appian product teams and engage customers to gather Appian requirements.
• Define MVP and release plans with Product Dev Managers.
• Conduct requirement discovery, data modeling, process design, and BPM modeling.
• Lead discovery workshops with customer stakeholders to document requirements.
• Collaborate to define new/enhanced product requirements and roadmap.
• Prepare estimates for the product backlog and sprint plans.
• Review and accept completed user stories with QA and developers.
• Identify risks and opportunities for process improvements.
• Use TFS, Jira and Github for project management.
