Job summary

Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is seeking a Softline Processor in Macedon, NY. You will prepare donated apparel, shoes, and accessories for our retail stores, ensuring quality and brand standards while supporting community programs.

You will meet daily production goals, learn apparel brands, and provide excellent customer service in a retail/donation processing environment. This role requires flexibility and teamwork, with opportunities to contribute to store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous retail or production experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read, understand, and complete production documentation.
• Clear communication skills for working with customers and teammates.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and contribute to team success.

Responsibilities

• Sort and assess softline items based on quality and brand standards.
• Hang, tag, and label merchandise accurately using production and pricing systems.
• Build knowledge of apparel brands, trends, and softline merchandise.
• Meet daily and bi‑weekly production goals by processing donated items efficiently.
• Maintain a friendly, welcoming attitude with customers and team members.
• Greet customers and address concerns in a courteous, respectful manner.
• Be a positive team member by sharing ideas and communicating concerns with coworkers and leadership.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and well-organized workstations and request supplies as needed.
• Help keep the store interior and exterior clean, safe, and organized.
