The Research Foundation of The City University of New York is seeking an Administrative Staff member to support the API Academic Peer Instruction program at LaGuardia Community College. The role is 15 hours per week, in person, assisting peers and coordinators with outreach, scheduling, and data collection.
Qualifications include completing at least 9 credits with a 3.0 GPA, proficiency in Windows and MS Office, and strong communication, reliability, and interpersonal skills.

The API Academic Peer Instruction (API) is a peer program modeled after a nationally recognized Supplemental Instruction (SI) program. We are proud to say that API has helped students succeed in their courses at LaGuardia since 1993. It is free to all students enrolled in "high-risk" API – linked courses. The program's mission is to improve students' academic performance in high-risk courses and foster independent learning to prepare students to become high-performing students in future courses. These functions include legal assessment and signing of agreements where RFCUNY is named as a fiscal agent; setting up award accounts; preparing sub-awards and assisting PIs in monitoring the work of the recipients of sub-awards; supporting project directors with hiring and managing research project and sponsored program staff; supporting the purchasing and paying for goods and services with grant and program funds; managing financial aspects of projects including accounts receivable, financial reporting, invoicing, budget monitoring, and cost compliance with uniform guidance; ensuring that sponsor financial requirements are met; monitoring compliance with applicable project and financial management rules and laws; supporting the management of independent and external audits and financial reviews; and providing data, information, management expertise, and other supports to CUNY’s research and sponsored programs.
