Job summary

The Research Foundation of The City University of New York is seeking an Administrative Staff member to support the API Academic Peer Instruction program at LaGuardia Community College. The role is 15 hours per week, in person, assisting peers and coordinators with outreach, scheduling, and data collection.

Qualifications include completing at least 9 credits with a 3.0 GPA, proficiency in Windows and MS Office, and strong communication, reliability, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Have completed a minimum of 9 credits and have a GPA of 3.0.
  • Must demonstrate proof of technology skill in Windows OS and MS Office.
  • Must be responsible, mature, possess good communication and listening skills, good interpersonal skills, and maintain good attendance and punctuality.
  • Have a desire to help others learn.

Responsibilities

  • Public Relations: advertise the program to the college community and recruit tutors.
  • Tutor Hiring: manage applications, schedule interviews, and handle hiring paperwork.
  • Tutor Work/Progress: design and update forms, monitor tutor performance, and manage tutoring schedules.
  • Data Collection/Statistics: summarize tutor-collected data and support reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
