RFCUNY's API Academic Peer Instruction program at LaGuardia is seeking an administrative staff member to support tutors and coordinators. The role is 15 hours across 3 days, in person, with a focus on coordination, scheduling, and communication.
Responsibilities include recruiting tutors, managing applications, coordinating interviews, timesheets, forms, and reporting data for interim and annual reviews. Ideal candidates will have 9 college credits with a 3.0 GPA and solid MS Office skills.

The API Academic Peer Instruction (API) is a peer program modeled after a nationally recognized Supplemental Instruction (SI) program. We are proud to say that API has helped students succeed in their courses at LaGuardia since 1993. It is free to all students enrolled in “high-risk” API – linked courses. The program's mission is to improve students' academic performance in high-risk courses and foster independent learning to prepare students to become high-performing students in future courses. Visit our website for more information. We are looking for an administrative Staff to join our team to support the peers and the coordinators. The workload is 15 hours spread over 3 days (in person).

Qualifications Have completed a minimum of 9 credits and have a GPA of 3.0. Must demonstrate proof of technology skill either through an advanced level Portfolio or Windows operating system and MS Office Must be responsible, mature, possess good communication and listening skills, good interpersonal skills, and maintain good attendance as well as punctuality Have a desire to help others learn
Pay Range: $19.12 - $23.97/hour
