Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a donor pheresis support technician to prepare donors and equipment for pheresis procedures and to monitor the process. You will respond to alarms, disconnect donors at completion, and maintain accurate data records in the donor information system.

Role requires attention to safety, adherence to SOPs, and confidentiality. Some duties may be cross-training with other areas; bilingual skills may be required depending on the shift and location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process; respond to alarms during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents and donor data using PDA and link equipment to donors.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic system per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow HSE and OSHA policies; confidentiality strong.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
