Job summary

Burns Management Corporation is seeking an Apartment Turnover Technician in a full-time role in the New York area. You will handle all aspects of apartment turnovers, make-readies, and upkeep of grounds, exteriors, and common areas. The job includes weekly uniforms, gas allowance, and a company cell phone.

Responsibilities include turnover painting, cleaning, and coordination with the Maintenance Foreman. A positive attitude, physical stamina, and valid driver's license are required.

• Assist in supervising contract services and turnover processes.
• Maintain organization of shop, inventory and safety procedures.
• Carry out day-to-day duties for multi-family property management.

Apartment Turnover Technician

A Turnover Technician is needed at Burns Management. Responsible for all aspects related apartment turnovers and make readies, as well as the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, and parking lots. Support the maintenance and cleanliness of building hallways and common areas, such as the laundry/trash rooms daily.

• Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Hourly Payrate is $19.00 to $20.00 an hour, depending upon experience
• Bonus opportunity of $2,500 annually

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform timely, quality work in completing apartment make readies for the property.
• Apartment turnover painting, including wall and ceiling prep and repairs.
• Support turnover cleaning including kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, bedrooms, and closets.
• Assist in housekeeping/janitorial work.
• Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Foreman so that he/she is informed of possible problems and needs for assistance, safety concerns, etc. Inform foreman of need for additional maintenance, when applicable, in any areas where work orders or apartment turnovers are being performed.
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance functions and assist in the supervision of contract services.
• Assist directly in the turnover process to ensure that all phases of unit preparation are completed in a timely, efficient manner.
• Support the required on-call rotation & overtime as needed.
• Assist in the organization of a clean shop, inventory control, tool maintenance, and implementation of safety and security procedures.
• Carry out all duties assigned by supervisor(s) in carrying out the day-to-day responsibilities of managing and maintaining a multi-family property.

Any other related duties as requested by supervisory council and management. The responsibilities listed above are by no means all-inclusive and can be modified as the supervisory & management team deem fit.

• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds and climb stairs and ladders easily.

• Two (2) years' experience in previous relevant field is highly preferred.

• Must have reliable transportation and have a clean, valid Driver's license.
