Job summary

RPM Living is seeking a Make Ready Technician to efficiently prepare vacant apartment units for re-leasing. You will perform turn duties across maintenance tasks, ensuring quality standards and timely completion on site.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and at least 1 year of maintenance experience, with solid knowledge of basic trades and a focus on detail and efficiency. HVAC experience is a plus; weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or related field, preferred.
• General knowledge in skilled trades including construction/installation, repair, drywall, basic carpentry, and make-ready.
• HVAC experience a plus but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Follow the make-ready checklist to complete necessary repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in, as directed by the Supervisor or manager.
• Inspect sheetrock and make repairs; caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers; and perform touch-up paint.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment needed for make-ready tasks.
• Cut expenses by fixing rather than replacing parts, and avoiding waste of supplies.
• Assist with property curb appeal by picking up trash, pressure-washing, cleaning, and painting as needed.
• Comply with safety and risk-management policies by participating in safety meetings, OSHA training, and other safety-related requirements, and reporting accidents promptly.
• Deliver a high level of customer service by treating residents with respect and completing work efficiently.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.
