Job summary

Capstone Management is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician in Brownsville, TX. You will respond to resident requests, diagnose issues, and perform repairs following safety standards and code requirements. You will also run make-ready tasks for vacant units, inspect work, and coordinate with vendors when needed.

The role includes ground maintenance, general cleaning, and minor painting. A valid driver’s license and HVAC certification are preferred, with opportunities for certification

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose defects and perform repairs per code and policy.
• Valid driver’s license required and HVAC certification(s) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vacants via make-ready, schedule vendors, and inspect work.
• Track materials, inventory, and return unused items to storage.
• Document service requests accurately for tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas; assist with cleaning and curb painting.
• Support cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance and be on-call as needed.
