Job summary

PeakMade Real Estate is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an apartment community in State College. You will perform repairs, assist with preventative maintenance, and ensure safety, curb appeal, and resident satisfaction.

Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to manage inventory, support on-call rotations, and keep the property compliant with safety standards. A hands-on problem solver with a proactive attitude will excel here.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year maintenance experience, preferably in apartment industry
• EPA Type I and II certification preferred
• Must live within 30 miles of the property
• Must have reliable transportation and rotate on-call schedule
• Ability to work varied schedule including weekends/holidays
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances troubleshooting
• Other licenses/certifications as required by law

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks promptly and thoroughly
• Monitor inventory of equipment, tools, parts, and supplies
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and uphold safety standards
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules
• Communicate with residents, staff, vendors, and supervisors
• Assist in on-call rotations and emergency service as needed
• Adhere to budget guidelines and preventative maintenance program
• Maintain records and assist with upkeep of offices and common areas
