Job summary

smcexternalcareers is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC/PTAC to ensure the physical assets meet company standards and applicable laws.

In this full-time role, you'll diagnose problems and perform repairs. You will provide hands-on troubleshooting in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywalling, exterior structure, tiling, masonry, and appliances. 50% live-on available with on-call rotation every 4 weeks.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in maintenance related field(s)
• Successful completion of Basic Electric class offered at SMC internal training facility
• Successful completion of all other basic maintenance classes offered internally and all on-the-job training within one year of hire date

Responsibilities

• Address, follow up and document service requests
• Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies
• Perform preventive maintenance on fan coil and convector HVAC unit
• Complete additional preventive maintenance inspections as scheduled
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
• Make repairs to grounds and drainage
• Ensure all work and documentation comply with internal quality control standards
• Maintain personal supply of tools as designated by SMC's Tool Checklist
• Address emergency maintenance as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
• Contribute to community and company engagement efforts
