Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain the physical grounds, amenities, and units across our properties. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and support make-ready tasks to ensure residents enjoy safe, clean, and functional homes.

The role requires hands-on maintenance skills, adherence to safety standards, and flexibility to respond to resident requests and periodic inspections, with standard benefits and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required for Service Technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policy and code.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling, and material coordination.
• Tracks materials, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-order needs.
• Completes timely and accurate service documentation for tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, assists with cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing parts instead of replacing when feasible.
