Job summary

CWS Apartment Homes in Austin, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to enhance community integrity while delivering exceptional service. This role involves strong interaction with residents, guests, and team members and requires safety-first workmanship.

You will perform make-readies, routine maintenance, and preventative tasks, manage tools and inventory, and support resident satisfaction programs. EPA/HVAC/CPO certifications and a valid driver’s license are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year in apartment maintenance or a trade with basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting and HVAC.
• EPA, HVAC I & II, and CPO certifications are required.
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance are required.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare make-ready apartments.
• Complete service requests.
• Perform common area maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and shop organization.
• Participate in preventative maintenance program.
• Participate in resident satisfaction programs.
• Communicate with customers, residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and CWS team members.
• Participate in the CWS Risk Management and Safety Programs.
