Job summary

Camden Property Trust is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle service requests and preventative maintenance across the community. The role emphasizes customer service and teamwork, with responsibilities spanning make-readies, groundskeeping, pool maintenance, and safety compliance.

The position requires basic maintenance skills, ability to read safety directives, and willingness to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays. Training provided to support community needs.

Qualifications

• Six months of maintenance experience in a relevant setting.
• High School Diploma preferred; trade-school certification highly desired.
• EPA Type I, II or Universal certification preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of technical skills related to apartment maintenance.
• Handle tile work, carpentry repairs and make-ready tasks.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests promptly.
• Coordinate with the maintenance supervisor and team to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.
• Identify safety hazards or maintenance needs and address or report them.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in including repairs.
• Maintain community appearance and perform light repairs.
• Document service requests and make-readies in Onesite.
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, notices, inspections, and related tasks.
