Job summary

Meadowview Apartments in Pulaski, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to diagnose repairs, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to resident service requests to keep buildings safe and functional. This role emphasizes quality workmanship and long-term career growth within CHP.

You will work on a mostly Monday–Friday, 8–5 schedule with an on-call rotation; emergency maintenance coverage is required.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and complete routine and moderately complex repairs across building systems
  • Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections
  • Maintain the appearance and functionality of buildings, grounds, and common areas
  • Complete apartment turnovers within established timelines
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance issues
  • Assist with vendor and contractor coordination as needed
  • Maintain accurate work order documentation using mobile maintenance software
  • Follow all safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and company policies
