Job summary

Velair Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support maintenance operations across multiple apartment communities. You will handle repairs, preventative maintenance, and move-in/move-out inspections to keep living environments safe and welcoming.

Responsibilities include completing diverse work orders, assisting with emergency requests, and traveling to portfolio sites as needed. A high school diploma and basic skills are required; 1 year of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of related maintenance experience preferred in multi-family housing or equivalent.
• Basic mathematical ability and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, drywall, painting, and appliance repairs.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs of interior/exterior systems.
• Assist with emergency service requests and on-call rotation.
• Assist with snow/ice removal and document completion.
• Follow safety protocols and understand MSDS handling.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs, move‑in/move‑out inspections and other building inspections.
