Job summary

Volunteer Properties seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to support daily operations at our apartment communities. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance systems, perform routine upkeep, and handle make-readies for new residents.

Qualifications

EPA Certification or HVAC experience is required.
Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in multi-family/apartment settings.
Working knowledge of building systems: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Must pass background and drug screening.
Must provide proof of valid vehicle insurance and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and complete work orders for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks including painting, drywall repair, and minor carpentry.
Complete apartment turnovers and make-ready tasks.
Ensure grounds, common areas, and amenities are clean and functional.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
