Job summary

CVG Properties in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our on-site maintenance team. You will perform make-ready turns, handle repairs, HVAC and carpentry tasks, and coordinate with residents and the Community Manager to keep units and common areas in top condition.

The successful candidate has 1+ year residential maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in residential maintenance or apartment properties.
• General maintenance, HVAC, and carpentry skills.
• EPA 608 Certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
• Yardi experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license, with clean driving record and insurance.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends, and on-call when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform make-ready turns, including painting, repairs, appliance testing, mechanical work, and carpentry.
• Report maintenance concerns to the Community Manager.
• Respond to service orders and assist staff with repairs.
• Answer after-hours calls on a rotating schedule.
• Maintain grounds, amenities, and building exteriors; assist with light landscaping and pressure washing.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and vendors.
• Observe safety regulations and company policy.
• Promote resident satisfaction with cleanliness and curb appeal.
• Inspect units pre- and post-move-in/move-out and ensure timely completion of turns.
