Job summary

CVG Properties is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician for The Palms of La Mesa, a 78-unit community in La Mesa, CA. You will work with the Maintenance Team and Community Manager to service residents, maintain grounds and buildings, and prepare apartments for move-ins.

Experience in residential maintenance is preferred; some tools are required and EPA 608 certification is preferred or obtainable within a defined period after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of residential/apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• General maintenance, HVAC, and carpentry skills required.
• EPA Section 608 Certification preferred (or ability to obtain within defined hire period).
• Yardi experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform make-ready turns: painting, repairs, appliance testing, mechanical work and carpentry, and report issues with appliances, HVAC, electrical, etc.
• Report maintenance concerns on available apartments, models and common areas to the Community Manager.
• Respond to service work orders to perform repairs or replacements, and assist maintenance staff as needed.
• Answer and resolve after-hours emergency calls on a rotating schedule with the Maintenance Team.
