Job summary

POAH Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Walnut Grove Apartments in Blacklick, Ohio. The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work weekends or on-call shifts. You will ensure safety, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate make‑ready repairs across 176 units.

Qualifications

• 1 year of apartment maintenance experience or equivalent preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required; HVAC certification preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and automobile insurance coverage may be required.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and on-call shifts.
• Must be knowledgeable and skilled with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Physically able to perform duties including lifting up to 75 lbs and climbing stairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment throughout the community.
• Diagnose and perform minor repairs and make-ready services as needed.
• Inspect and coordinate make-ready repairs and services; help keep grounds neat.
