Job summary

JES Holdings, Fairway Management (FWM) manages over 250 apartment communities and is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Tech II for Ford Lofts & Delaware Duplexes in Joplin, MO. You will perform drywall, plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, and general maintenance to keep units in excellent condition.

The role is full-time, 8am–5pm, Monday through Friday, with on-call duties and quarterly preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in multifamily, commercial, or hotel settings.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, and building operating systems (e.g., door entry, fire suppression).
• Knowledge of REAC and INSPIRE inspection preparation.

Responsibilities

• Regularly troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC as part of completing unit turns, work orders, and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general repairs independently.
• Maintain exceptional curb appeal.
• Complete daily resident work orders.
• Be available for on-call after hours.
• Must have applicable maintenance tools.
• Conduct unit make-readies with painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning as needed.
• Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
• Assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
• Pick up supplies from area vendors as needed while legally operating a registered and insured vehicle.
• Report to Regional Manager and Maintenance Superintendent for delegated tasks.
• Travel to and participate in regional/corporate training and conferences as required.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff; communicate health and safety concerns to management.
• Work overtime as needed and approved; engage in HVAC safety training and HUD/LIHTC maintenance training.
