Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician in Ladson, SC. The role involves performing general maintenance and repairs to ensure apartment homes and facilities are in good working order, including HVAC units, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and locks.

You will prepare apartments for move-in and follow a preventive maintenance schedule, updating residents after repairs. Applicants should have 1–3 years in multifamily maintenance, HVAC experience, and EPA Type II or Universal

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and property facilities are in good working order.
• Prepare apartments for move-in, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets and light fixtures, plumbing, carpentry and locks.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and update residents after repairs are complete.
