Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and facilities are in good working order. Responsibilities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC units, electrical appliances, plumbing, carpentry, and locks.

Qualified candidates have 1–3 years of experience in multifamily property management or facility maintenance, HVAC experience, EPA Type II or Universal certification (or within 90 days of hire), and a

One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
HVAC experience required
EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date
Valid driver’s license from the state of residence

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs to keep apartment homes and property facilities in good working order.
Prepare apartments for move-in, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units.
Repair electrical appliances, outlets, light fixtures, plumbing, carpentry, and locks.
Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and update residents after repairs.
