Job summary

StoryPoint Fort Wayne West is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair duties on a full-time basis. The role requires adaptability to weekends, holidays, and outdoor work in varying weather.

You will collaborate with multiple departments to provide exceptional service and help residents enjoy a comfortable living environment. Primary duties include safe operation of tools, preventative maintenance, and reporting any issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or technical training; or 1+ years related experience.
• Proficient in apartment maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical; drywall repairs and painting essential.
• Ability to read safety rules and write routine reports.
• Ability to follow written or oral instructions; handle problems with concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Operates tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain relationships with team members.
• Identify and report broken equipment to supervisor.
• Keep work area clean and safe per regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and buildings.
