Job summary

Camden Development, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our multifamily communities in Lakewood, CO. You will lead the maintenance team, oversee repairs, make-readies, and preventative maintenance to ensure resident satisfaction and property quality.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in general maintenance with 1 year in apartment maintenance, supervisory experience, and relevant certifications. You will manage safety, budgeting, and vendor coordination while mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and some college or trade school preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of general maintenance experience, at least 1 year of apartment maintenance.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• EPA Type I and II, or Universal and CPO certification required.
• Must be able to perform tile work, carpentry repairs, and all facets of the apartment make-ready process.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electrical systems, all major appliances, pool and spa equipment and other systems on community.
• Certified Apartment Service Technician (CAMT) preferred
• Must have certifications/permits required by city or state to perform job responsibilities (i.e., pool operations, maintenance, electricians, etc.).
• Must have dependable transportation to/from work and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule. A valid driver’s license is required for employees who work at communities utilizing Low Speed Vehicles.
• Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays as required

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance team and schedule activities.
• Prioritize service requests and emergencies.
• Communicate assignments and monitor workload.
• Coordinate, schedule, and perform preventative maintenance on appliances and equipment.
• Manage the make ready process and coordinate with vendors.
• Monitor recurring repairs and identify root causes.
• Participate in completing service requests including appliance, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work.
• Document service activity in OneSite.
• Identify safety issues and report to Community Manager.
• Assist in recruiting and mentoring staff.
• Train, develop, and mentor maintenance staff.
• Conduct property safety audits.
• Maintain inventory of repair supplies.
• Assist with maintenance budget and yearly planning.
