Job summary

CREI Management, LLC is seeking a Leasing Consultant to interface with prospective residents, handle day-to-day issues with current residents, and coordinate lease renewals. The role emphasizes excellent customer service and adherence to Fair Housing standards in a competitive market.

Under supervision of the Community Manager and Leasing Manager, you will conduct application reviews, prepare lease packets, and maintain accurate documentation to support successful leasing operations.

Qualifications

• Professional and enthusiastic demeanor from sales, leasing, marketing or customer service experience
• Ability to communicate benefits of the apartment community to prospective residents, parents and university personnel
• Excellent customer service, sales and negotiation skills
• Good communication and listening skills
• Able to read and understand lease documents
• Able to be an effective team player and interact well with others
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Patient, even-tempered and works well under pressure
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, legal correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Able to write routine reports and correspondence
• Able to perform basic math for rent calculations and prorations
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge in Entrata preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents, prospects and visitors to the community
• Effectively lease apartments in accordance with budget guidelines
• Follow Fair Housing Standards in all dealings with prospects and residents
• Conduct outside marketing under direction of the Assistant Manager and Community Manager
• Coordinate the application review for each lease including credit and income verifications and background checks
• Complete lease packets and files for each resident to include the lease, all addendums and other proper documentation and signatures
• Ensure the condition of leased apartments prior to move-in, including a final inspection
• Follow up with residents throughout their lease terms, promote the annual renewal campaign, manage lease renewals and complete lease documents
