Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the full accounts payable lifecycle. This individual will serve as the primary resource for all AP functions, including invoice processing, vendor onboarding, vendor management, EDI transactions, payment processing, reconciliations, and reporting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a proactive problem solver, can manage high transaction volumes, and acts as a key liaison between vendors, procurement, accounting, and business stakeholders. This position is fully remote but must be local to NC or SC.

Skills and Requirements

• 1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
• Experience managing full-cycle AP processes.
• Knowledge of invoice processing, vendor management, reconciliations, and payment processing.
• Experience working with EDI transactions and electronic invoice systems.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Workday, Oracle, NetSuite, Lawson, Sage, JD Edwards, or similar platforms.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience supporting ERP conversions or AP automation projects.
• Knowledge of 1099 processing and tax compliance.
• Healthcare, manufacturing, or shared services experience preferred.
