Job summary

Shield Technology Partners in Tampa seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function, drive process improvements, and ensure timely, accurate vendor payments across multiple entities. This hands-on role partners with Finance and operations to uphold internal controls and scalable processes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in AP, a solid accounting foundation, and expertise with NetSuite and Ramp.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years in progressive AP roles with leadership experience.
Experience in multi-entity environments and process improvement.
Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Partner with Corporate Accounting, Finance, and operational leaders to support finance initiatives across the organization, providing AP expertise and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence.
Oversee the full accounts payable lifecycle, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, payment processing, and vendor management.
Lead, coach, and develop the Accounts Payable team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Monitor AP aging, payment schedules, and vendor relationships; ensure internal controls and policy compliance.
Oversee month-end close related to Accounts Payable, including accruals and reconciliations.
Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization to scale across entities.
