Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead a high-volume AP team in Houston. You will drive process improvements, mentor supervisors and analysts, and partner with internal teams and vendors to resolve payment issues.

The role emphasizes automation, KPI tracking, and supporting month-end close, audits, and special projects, with opportunities to shape a growing finance function.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• 6+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience with Coupa or P21 is a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day Accounts Payable function
• Lead, mentor, and develop AP Supervisors and Analysts (15-20 indirect reports)
• Drive process improvements, automation, reporting enhancements, and AI initiatives
• Develop and track KPIs to improve team performance
• Partner with internal teams and vendors to resolve payment and invoice issues
• Support month-end close, audits, and special projects
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
