Job summary

FSS Technologies, LLC is seeking an AP Entry Clerk Intern to support Accounts Payable by entering and coding vendor invoices and organizing financial documents. This supervised internship provides hands-on exposure to day-to-day accounting operations.

Exact duties are reviewed and approved by the AP Associate or Finance management before finalization. The role involves matching invoices to POs, maintaining invoice files, assisting with AP aging and reporting, and performing general

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Enter and code vendor invoices – Accurately enter vendor invoices into the accounting system with the correct general ledger coding, cost center, and supporting documentation attached.
• Match invoices to purchase orders – Verify invoices for approved POs or receipts and flag discrepancies for resolution.
• Maintain vendor and invoice files – Organize and maintain physical and digital invoice records.
• Assist with AP aging and reporting – Pull basic reports and assist in preparing materials for the weekly AP meeting.
• Support the AP team with administrative tasks – Scanning, filing, data entry, and responding to routine vendor inquiries under supervision.
