Job summary

RSQ Fire Protection is seeking an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Assistant to support our accounting team in Indianapolis with part-time, in-office hours. The role involves reconciling vendor and customer accounts, processing invoices, and maintaining timely payments to keep projects running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience, and familiarity with Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting software. Construction accounting software experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Beginner–intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Intermediate knowledge of various accounting software.
• Construction accounting software experience – preferred

Responsibilities

• Match invoices and delivery tickets on assigned jobs and code for data entry; collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Process rental, utility, overhead, and other non-job-related invoices; troubleshoot invoices and reconcile vendor statements.
• Communicate with vendors to request invoice copies or correct payment applications.
• Daily accounts receivable analysis and resolution of outstanding receivables.
• Process customer deposits and apply payments to AR invoices.
• Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Answer and direct incoming calls; provide backup support as needed.
