Accounts Payable Analyst

Rate:32-35/hr

Duration: 3 month Contract

Location: Deer Park, TX

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Analyst to support accurate and timely invoice processing, vendor payments, and accounts payable operations in a high-volume environment. This role works closely with procurement teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to resolve invoice issues, maintain financial controls, and drive process improvements. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently in accordance with company policies and payment terms.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, blocked invoices, and payment-related exceptions.
• Collaborate with procurement teams, internal stakeholders, and vendors to resolve purchase order, receipt, invoice, and payment issues.
• Respond promptly to vendor and internal inquiries while providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, company policies, and documentation requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with system implementations, testing, process improvement projects, and other finance-related initiatives.
• Prioritize and manage workload effectively in response to changing business needs and deadlines.
• Support additional finance and operational activities as required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Accounts Payable experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP for invoice processing and accounts payable functions.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound professional judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, petrochemical, industrial, refinery, or other large-scale operational environments.
• Experience working in high-volume accounts payable operations.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
