AIR Communities is hiring an Accountant to join our centralized team in the Denver Tech Center, CO, responsible for month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany activities. This in-office role supports a fast-paced real estate accounting environment.

Qualifications

• Experience recording monthly journal entries and related accruals.
• Experience with monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience with AP reconciliation.
• Proficient Excel skills; Workday Financials is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• 1–2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Teamwork and cultural fit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and enter journal entries for month-end close for AP, accruals, and AR.
• Perform account reconciliations and rollforwards; provide variance analysis.
• Monitor and resolve intercompany discrepancies as needed.
• Ensure invoices feed from the utility portal and are paid timely.
• Serve as SME for accounting areas/systems; train and troubleshoot.
• Act as Team Leader: mentor new hires, lead projects, resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Collaborate across departments to improve processes.
