CoreSite is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Denver accounting team, responsible for the monthly close of owned and leased data-center properties and corporate HQ, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting packages.

The role requires 5–7 years in accounting, strong GAAP and SOX knowledge, and a degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA is preferred. This hybrid position offers competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience with accrual‑based monthly close.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and SOX 404; CPA preferred.
• Experience in accounting for REITs, real estate, or tech companies is a plus.
• Hybrid work environment with two onsite Denver days per week.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis for CoreSite's owned and leased properties and corporate HQ.
• Manage structured month-end close, deliverables by the 5th business day each month.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, accrual analyses, and close packages with variance analysis.
• Present financial performance to stakeholders and participate in quarterly reviews.
• Conduct ad hoc financial research and provide concise reports.
• Support audits, SOX compliance, and cross-functional accounting initiatives.
• Assist with process improvements and IT system enhancements.
