Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, AL seeks an Airbus Operating System (AOS) Expert to lead lean performance initiatives across the site. You will coach senior leaders, design training, and implement AOS solutions to address operational gaps and drive sustainable growth.

Open to professionals with 10–15 years in lean manufacturing, strong problem-solving, and track record of guiding cross-functional teams; Six Sigma Black Belt, Kepner-Tregoe, or APICS certifications highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in operations management within lean manufacturing.
• Deep expertise in lean management, problem solving, and facilitating workshops (Kaizen, VSM, SMED, 5S, Hoshin Kanri).
• Ability to coach, mentor, and inspire managers, technicians, and operators.
• Strong knowledge of industrial engineering, quality tools, process optimization, and aeronautical manufacturing.
• Certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Kepner-Tregoe, or APICS are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coach the Senior Leadership Team, Operations Management Team, and local AOS teams.
• Act as the primary Senior Expert on AOS content for Airbus Americas and represent AOS Central (Europe).
• Advise site leadership on performance improvement opportunities and governance.
• Lead industrial maturity assessments and formulate strategic recommendations.
• Design, facilitate, and lead training programs and Kaizen workshops across North America.
• Support AOS digitalization solutions and drive lean initiatives.
