Airbus Americas, Inc. is seeking an Airbus Operating System (AOS) Expert to join its Operational Excellence team in Mobile, AL.

You will develop standardized lean principles and performance improvement initiatives to address systemic operational issues and support sustainable growth. You will coach senior leaders, lead Kaizen workshops, and guide cross-functional teams across North America while aligning with Europe’s AOS center.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Management, or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in operations management in lean manufacturing.
• Deep expertise in lean management, problem solving, and facilitating Kaizen/VSM/SMED/5S/Hoshin Kanri.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and inspire managers, technicians, and operators.
• Strong knowledge of industrial engineering, quality tools, process optimization, and aeronautical manufacturing.
• Certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Kepner-Tregoe, or APICS are highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Develop and coach the Senior Leadership Team, Operations Management Team, and local AOS teams (+20 employees).
• Act as the primary Senior Expert on AOS content for Airbus Americas and represent AOS Central (Europe).
• Advise site leadership on performance improvement opportunities and governance.
• Lead industrial maturity assessments and formulate strategic recommendations.
• Design, facilitate, and lead training programs and Kaizen workshops across North America.
• Support AOS digitalization solutions and drive mid- to long-term lean initiatives.
