Job summary

Airbus Americas is seeking an Airbus Operating System (AOS) Expert to join our Operational Excellence team in Mobile, AL. You will develop standardized lean principles and drive performance improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

You will coach senior leadership and operations teams, act as the primary AOS expert for Airbus Americas, and collaborate with AOS Central in Europe to advance governance and strategic lean programs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in operations management in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Deep expertise in lean management, problem solving, and workshop facilitation (Kaizen, VSM, SMED, 5S, Hoshin Kanri).
• Professional certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Kepner-Tregoe, or APICS are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coach the Senior Leadership Team, Operations Management Team, and local AOS teams.
• Act as the primary Senior Expert on AOS content for Airbus Americas and represent AOS Central (Europe).
• Advise site leadership on performance improvement opportunities and governance.
• Lead industrial maturity assessments and formulate strategic recommendations.
• Design, facilitate, and lead training programs and Kaizen workshops across North America.
• Support AOS digitalization solutions and drive lean initiatives.
