Job summary

USA Jet Airlines, based at Willow Run Airport in Belleville, MI, is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join the Stores Department. You will assist in daily stockroom operations, source materials for maintenance, and manage purchase requests to meet project timelines.

You will issue and track orders, obtain quotes, and coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery while supporting inventory accuracy. Strong teamwork and problem-solving are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S./state driver’s license required.
• Must be able to operate company vehicles and equipment.
• Willingness to travel for work.
• MS Word and Excel proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials and components to support maintenance and department requirements.
• Request price and availability quotes from suppliers for best price and delivery dates.
• Provide time-sensitive Aircraft on Ground (AOG) material support to the Maintenance department.
• Execute purchase orders, paperwork, and related requests.
• Follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain AMOS reporting for overdue PO and repair orders.
• Coordinate returns for BER parts and discrepancies.
• Build relationships with internal departments and vendors; assist with purchase requests.
• Keep the purchasing area clean and organized.
• Review repair quotes to decide on repair vs replacement.
